This car has quite an epic story…. I bought it blind, to give away in a Geoff Buys Cars £10 car giveaway, as an alternative to a Saab Convertible that was in the draw. After spending 10 minutes with the Volvo, I decided it had to stay. Since then I’ve changed the wheels, stripped the carpets out and painted the floors gold, cleaned it (cleaned it a lot), added four new tyres, fitted a new exhaust and replaced the boot struts. Next it’s going to get a full service and I need to resolve some oil leaks, but it’s a work in progress. It’s something like 300,000 miles, and it regularly appears on my YouTube channel. It’s a daily driver, a family wagon and a weekend whip!
